He sits looking into the light
And like Adam calls out the names
Of what he alone can see:
Quom and Kas and Tok.
So begins a world of strange beings
Who burrow into the earth
And find the sky. Listen.
You can hear them at night
Weaving constellations out of pure sound:
Orion Boötes Pegasus.
The moon rings like a bell
Calling us to dream.
Look into the light.
What do you see?
